W dniu 18.09.2004r. odszedł od nas śp. Andrzej Rosiak Żninianin, absolwent Szkoły Podstawowej nr 1 i Liceum Ogólnokształcącego w Żninie, Wyższej Szkoły Pedagogicznej w Bydgoszczy i Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. Pasjonat historii regionu Pałuk, autor i współautor wielu opracowań na ten temat. Popularyzator sylwetek Braci Śniadeckich. Miłośnik muzyki, utrwalania w kadrach kamery i aparatu fotograficznego najważniejszych wydarzeń kulturalnych regionu. Wieloletni dyrektor Żnińskiego Domu Kultury, Muzeum Ziemi Pałuckiej oraz Wojewódzkiego Ośrodka Kultury w Bydgoszczy, a także Prezes Żnińskiego Towarzystwa Kulturalnego. Burmistrz Żnina w latach 2002-2004. W 10. rocznicę śmierci, w dniu 18.09.2014 r. o godzinie 17.00 w kościele pw. św. Floriana w Żninie odprawiona zostanie msza święta za duszę zmarłego Żona Halina i Syn Radosław
