Po wyczerpującej chorobie dnia 10 stycznia 2010 roku zmarł śp. Kazimierz Mikos, inż. górnik, sportowiec, ratownik górniczy, członek nadzoru KWK "Szombierki", projektant górniczy GBSiPG PW, Dyrektor Górniczy III stopnia.
Ukochany Mąż, Ojciec i Dziadek, prawy i szanowany Człowiek. O czym w żalu zawiadamiają Żona, Synowie, Synowa, Wnuk i Wnuczka. Msza święta odbędzie się 15 stycznia 2010 r. o godz. 12.00 w kościele pod wezwaniem św. Apostołów Piotra i Pawła w Katowicach, po czym nastąpi pochowanie na cmentarzu parafialnym przy ul. Sienkiewicza w Katowicach.
