Cienkich Warstw, autor licznych prac naukowych, bardzo ceniony dydaktyk i opiekun naukowy wielu młodych fizyków, organizator licznych międzynarodowych i krajowych konferencji.
Pogrzeb odbędzie się z dnia 25 maja 2010 r. o godzinie 12.00 na cmentarzu górczyńskim.
