Dnia 1 lutego 2004roku zmarł w Hannoverze w wieku 99 lat i został pochowany obok swojej żony Marii, nasz kochany Wujek i szwagier
inż. Witold Miller
Aktywnie działał w życiu kulturalnym Bydgoszczy. Był członkiem komitetu budowy Filharmonii Pomorskiej, zostając później recenzentem muzycznym. Kontynuował działalność w Towarzystwie Muzycznym. Swoje liczne nagrania przekazywał do Filharmonii Pomorskiej oraz do Biblioteki Głównej Akademii Bydgoskiej. W latach 1941-1942 był więźniem obozu koncentracynego w Sachsenhausen.
Wyrazy współczucia synom: Leopoldowi i Mariuszowi składają: Renia, Janusz i Leszek orza ciocia Henia.
