Z ogromnym smutkiem przyjąłem wiadomość o śmierci śp. Arcyksiężnej Marii Krystyny Habsburg. Była osobą o ogromnym sercu i wspaniałych przymiotach ducha, wielką polską patriotką, jedną z najbardziej lubianych obywatelek Żywca.

Należała do pokolenia Polaków, których bardzo mocno doświadczyły II wojna światowa, faszyzm i komunizm. Trudne lata emigracji nie złamały jednak Jej wiary w wolną i demokratyczną Polskę. Jej obecność wśród nas była darem, a działalność charytatywna wzbudzała podziw i chęć naśladowania. Uczyliśmy się od Niej miłości do Ojczyzny i miłości bliźniego.
