Nieodżałowanej pamięci Pani Wanda Major zmarła w wieku 90 lat 7 września w Warszawie. Wieloletnie życie osobise i zawodowe związała z Ziemią Opolską, miastem Prudnik, gdzie pracowała m.in. w Domu Kultury "Froteks" i Powiatowej Poradni Kulturalno-Oświatowej. Uhonorowana odznaką Zasłużonej dla Kultury i regionalnymi odznaczeniami. Pamięć o niej łączymy z wdzięcznością za serdeczność, życzliwy uśmiech, humor i talent recytatorski. Jedynej córce Mirosławie, która najtroskliwiej pielęgnowała ukochaną Mamę z serca wyrazy głebokiego współczucia. Przyjaciele z Opola. Pogrzeb odbył się 17 września w Warszawie
