W latach 70. był jednym z najwybitniejszych polskich bokserów.
Jego talent odkrył Michał Szczepan, pod którego opieką osiągnął wybitne sukcesy sportowe, będąc zawodnikiem KS "Gwardia" Wrocław.
Rozgrywał pasjonujące walki, takim pamiętają Go miłośnicy boksu. Prywatnie pozostanie dla nas skromnym, życzliwym, niepowtarzalnym i wybitnym człowiekiem.
